Tulsi Gabbard,

US Representative

US Representative Tulsi Gabbard is a Democratic candidate for president who was first elected to Congress in 2012 to serve the people of Hawaii’s Second Congressional District. Over the last six years, she has served on the Homeland Security and Foreign Affairs Committees in Congress, and is currently a member of the House Armed Services and Financial Services Committees. Tulsi is a Major in the Army National Guard, where she has served for 16 years. She deployed twice to the Middle East and is one of the first female combat veterans ever elected to Congress. Tulsi Gabbard’s campaign is powered completely by people. She does not accept campaign contributions from corporations, lobbyists, or political action committees. Tulsi has worked across the aisle to introduce the Ending Federal Marijuana Prohibition Act and the Marijuana Data Collection Act, which has been lauded by the cannabis industry for a scientific approach to the decriminalization of cannabis, and she has been endorsed by NORML—the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws.
